10/05/25 3yo Fleur de Lis Breaks Maiden in the Prix des Glycines

purchased by Stauffenberg Bloodstock

"FleurdeLisMarseille.jpeg"In a front-running display of grit and class, FLEUR DE LIS (Hello Youmzain – Marechale) powered to victory in the Prix des Glycines, a 2,000 m Maiden for three-year-olds at Marseille Borély. Under Antonio Orani, FLEUR DE LIS broke smartly from stall 5 and went straight to the lead, setting honest fractions over the eleven-runner field. Despite several challenges in the straight, she dug deep to repel Geopolitical and win by a short head, with the rest of the field left in her wake.

With that bold performance in hand, connections are now targeting Listed races over 2,000 m—likely the Prix de la Porte de Madrid at Longchamp in June or the Prix de la Ville de Nice at Cagnes-sur-Mer in July. Armed with an outstanding pedigree, natural speed and proven stamina, FLEUR DE LIS has all the attributes to shine in her next assignments.

FLEUR DE LIS is a sister sister to Gr.1 French 1,000 Guineas winner COEURSAMBA, she was purchased by STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK for €150,000 at the Arqana December Sales. Prepped for Book I of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sales the following year, she failed to reach her reserve there. Now racing in the colours of Lordship Stud and Comte Philipp von Stauffenberg and trained by Jerome Reynier, she showed exactly why she was so highly regarded.
