There were 3 runners today in Australia, England and Germany. First it was FOUR CARAT (Montjeu-FOUR ROSES) at Rosehill in Australia, who finished 3rd. Then LYNX (Medicean-La Martina) won quite easily in Cologne in Germany and later on MUKHAYYAM (Dark Angel-Caster Sugar) bolted home in Ripon in England.

FOUR CARAT was a winner for Andre Fabre and the Coolmore triumvirate before being sold Down Under where he won 3 more races so far. He is bred and raised by Graf und Grafin Stauffenberg at their SCHLOSSGUT ITLINGEN and sold at the Goffs Orby Sale.

LYNX won for the 1st time, after he was narrowly beaten at Baden-Baden at his last start. He is owned by M-B-A Racing and trained by Christian Freiherr von der Recke. Bred by Graf und Grafin Stauffenberg as well, he was sold at the BBAG Yearling Sales to Stall Nizza, but was sold on after one unplaced run.

MUKHAYYAM was pinhooked by STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK. Bought at the Tattersalls December Foal Sales, he was raised and prepped at SCHLOSSGUT ITLINGEN before being sold at the Tattersalls October Sales to Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid al Maktoum, for whom he won 2 races at 2 years trained by Sir Michael Stoute. Since being sold to Mr Scothern MUKHAYYAM is being trained by Mick Easterby for whom he won for the 1st time and that quite impressively by eased 6 length at Ripon.
