06/06/14 Capichera retired due to an injury

Unfortunately CAPICHERA had to be retired due to a fractured pelvis. As the whole team was very optimistic going into the race at Baden-Baden on the 29th of May, everybody involved was quite shocked that she did not live up to the expectations, but lost her action and finished last in the field. She was lame after the race and looked as if she had just hurt herself. However after a few days she was really lame and the examination showed the carrier ending injury.

CAPICHERA will join the broodmare band of Graf und Grafin Stauffenberg at SCHLOSSGUT ITLINGEN. Being by the the well bred and excellent racehorse SHIROCCO - he won among other races the German Derby - out of the German Oaks winner CENTAINE and from an excellent family, she will be a worthy addition.
