31/08/12 good BBAG Yearling Sale

STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK one of the leading consignors

79.jpgGermany's most important throughbred sale is the BBAG September Sale at Iffezheim near Baden-Baden. Held during the "Grosse Woche", the most important race meeting in Germany, this sale is the cradle of many top horses including DANEDREAM. The chance to buy a filly like DANEDREAM attracted even more international buyers than ever to Baden-Baden.
STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK had a final consignment of 11 yearlings at the sale. There were some worries beforehand, as it consisted out of only 3 colts and 8 fillies and there were alone 4 yearlings by SHIROCCO, who had 20 overall in the whole sale. However STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK sold the most expensive one, as FOR ME out of FLY ME TO THE MOON was sold for €80.000 to Highflyer Bloodstock.
AuerspergNamibiakl.jpgOverall it was a pleasant result for all the breeders who had consigned with STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK as 10 of the 11 on offer were sold. The most expensive became an unnamed filly by SOLDIER OF FORTUNE out of AUTRICHE, whose best offspring so far is the Gr.2 winner ASKAR TAU. Peter Doyle spent €125.000 on behalf of Wido Neuroth for Stall Perlen. Peter Doyle bought a second filly KOENIGSKRONE by SHIROCCO and a sister to the SW KOENIGSTOCHTER for €40.000 on behalf of Wido Neuroth, this time for Stall EOS.
The most expensive colt of the consignment of STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK became an unnamed colt by MONSUN out of NAMIBIA, sold for €90.000 to Franz Prinz von Auersperg, owner of this years German Derby winner PASTORIUS
